9/26/2016 0 Comments Parades and PhotowalksLast Saturday, September 24, 2016, my Alma Mater, Catherina Cittadini School, celebrated their 26th Foundress' Day. Naturally, as my first year as an Alumna, I attended the annual parade. I brought my camera with me and took snapshots of the event, and I took a few moments off to take street photographs as well. Below, are some of my personal picks :)

9/8/2016 7 Comments Through my ViewfinderI started photography when I was 12 years old when my parents first got me my Canon Rebel T3i, DSLR camera in 2012. Back then, I had absolutely no idea what photography was all about, and to be honest, my "photography" was pretty stagnant up until recently, when I started studying in Silliman University, and when I became a member of the Silliman University Camera Club that I was able to fully explore this world.
Among the different fields (event, portrait, wildlife, landscape, etc.), I felt most attracted to its lighter side, that being street photography. Photographs capture moments in ways no other can. I think that photography is a beautiful form of self-expression and is art by itself. Photography is a great stress reliever for me and is one of my happy pills. It's something I see myself doing more of in the future. |
What is Street Photography?Street photography is a type of photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places. Street photographs are mirror images of society, displaying “unmanipulated” scenes, with usually unaware subjects.” Flow.
